Hamilton might seem like a relatively new name on the block to some, but this versatile and talented producer has been writing, producing & djing electronic music for over 15 years. Having conquered several genres and worked as an international DJ for a decade and a half, the next step in Hamilton’s story was after sending some of his D&B tracks to Ram boss Andy C.

Signing exclusively to Ram in 2009, ‘Soundboy’ was one of the stand out tracks featured on Andy C’s ‘Nightlife 5’ compilation, while the VIP version tore apart clubs from London to Lisbon. Last year’s ‘Brainstorm’ / ‘Echoes’ set Hamilton apart as one of the hottest producers the drum & bass scene has to offer leading to remixes for the likes of Blackout, Hyper, Jasper Forks and Enter Shikari. It comes as no surprise then that “Deep In My Heart / Rich Kids”, his latest single for Ram Records, contains an undeniably epic pair of tracks that are filled with all the hallmarks you’d expect from a producer of Hamilton’s calibre. Throughout this time Hamilton has been smashing the clubs across the world demonstrating his impressive skills behind the decks, culminating in being chosen to mix the ‘Ram Records Drum & Bass Annual 2011’ compilation.

After an astonishing rise to fame, DJ and production duo The Prototypes have rapidly become the most recognized name among the ‘new breed’ of drum and bass artists. Accredited as amongst the freshest and most exciting talents to emerge in recent years its no wonder that leading lights ‘Shogun Audio’ signed them up.

With a trademark big room sound, support for The Prototypes has come from all areas including Andy C, Friction, Sub Focus, Roni Size, Fresh, Pendulum and more. 2011 saw The Prototypes tear apart the Drum & Bass scene gig by gig & track by track, touring all over the UK, Australia & Europe. Firmly cementing their place in the scene as top DJ’s & producers.

It needed to be a big release to follow up their huge anthem ‘Cascade’ but when the massive ‘Born to Rise EP’ dropped on Shogun in October 2011 it tore up the rule book on debut releases. Title track ‘Born to rise’ smashed raves worldwide and received support from the who’s who of the bass music scene, and the anthemic 140 bpm old skool rave mash up ‘Taking me over’ received massive play on BBC Radio 1 from the likes of Zane Lowe and Annie Nightingale, proving that there is more depth to these boys than meets the eye. With all this going on its no surprise that remix work for The Prototypes came in the form of Snoop Dogg, Ed Sheeran, Avicii & Sebastien & Modestep…scoring them A-list play on no other than MTV’s famous dance channel ‘MTV Dance’.
