Not too long ago I asked Marcus Intalex what he had planned for a milestone birthday celebration and he responded that he had tix to go see Roy Ayers. It seemed fitting to me that such a tastemaker in dnb would have such fine taste in music across the board. It's been a minute since he played elements last - five years! Since then he's also gone on a successful house/techno expedition under his Trevino moniker, all while continuing to come correct with dnb production and heading up his Soul:r imprint. Marcus's DJ sets have earned him a reputation for not being afraid to test crowds with a fresh high quality selection from across the spectrum of dnb. A passion for techno runs deeply through his music. A native of Manchester, Marcus experienced first-hand the energy of the nascent dance music scene as a regular on the dancefloor at the legendary Hacienda club.
